Blue Curaçao

Some warm days are coming up to greet October.  Maybe you'd like to keep a tropical vibe going for a while with this lovely blue liqueur.  Many cocktails with orange liqueur can be made blue with blue curaçao without changing the flavor.

Blue Margarita

Coarse salt, for optional rim
1 1/2 ounces tequila
1 ounce blue curaçao liqueur
1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
Lime wedge, or orange slice and cherry, for garnish


Place the liquids in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Strain into prepared glass, garnish and enjoy.


If too tart for your taste, add a bit of simple syrup, For a frozen drink, add the liquid ingredients to a blender with about 1 cup ice.

Another fun drink:

Blue Hawaiian

1.5 ounce white rum
3/4 ounce Blue Curaçao
2 ounces Pineapple Juice
3/4 ounce Creme de coconut
1/2 ounce Fresh lemon juice


Combine in shaker with ice and shake until cold.
Pour over ice.
Garnish with pineapple slice, cherry or orange slice as desired.
